privatizing maritime ports??
are you insane or dumb?
how would a government ensure the safety of what comes in, if ports are privatized? how would the government curtail the flow of illicit trade such as narcotics? are the ports in the united states privatized orb are they the sole properties of state and federal governments? if the ports in the united states were privatized, wouldn't its local economy be inversely affected by the overflow of cheap chinese goods? how would that help revive local haitian economy if the subsidized corporate farmers of north america were to allow to have their own private ports in which to dump their excess of goods which they would sell far bellow its cost of production?
i agree with you on teleco because this state-owned company has been at the center of every government scandal, but privatizing ports is pure lunacy.
we are not short of brainpower, we are defiencient only in collective consciousness.
we do not need your self-serving advices!
if you really want to help haiti, just stop supporting the "guy phillippes" in DR!
