Dear co citizens,

I am honored to participate in this great mobilization for democracy in Haiti by giving some advices to the participants.

Yes, in Haiti, the Presidential elections of 2006 are considered as a benchmark for all Haitians.

I was surprised when I click in the Internet and noticed that more than 54 candidates were assigned to be the president of Haiti.

It is the first time in Haitian History we have such statistic for the presidential elections.

So, what is the purpose of this battlefield?

How the outcome could be successfully beneficial to the Haitian people?

Which one among them is worthy to be elected?

As far as I am concerned, Haiti needs a second Moses to deliver Haitian people from their political struggles.

That person could be one of the candidates or another person anointed by God shall rise and free Haiti at last. I have a lot of important points that I would mention, but I prefer to give to all candidates some hints about what they should do to help make this elections successful.

These are my suggestions to help you in this matter:
a) Each candidate should fight his opponent with his logic strategies and constructive political words, not with destructive ones.

b) Avoid violence, vandalism or any other trick that could handicap the mobilization of the elections.

c) Present your national and foreign policy fairly so that you could build and gain legitimacy.

d) Along with the elections, when you notice that you could not win, yield to the stronger party that you think is trustworthy to be elected.

Do not react as a devil.

e) Finally, each participant should shake hand of the winner and work together with him so that brotherhood and democracy could spread throughout Haiti.

Regardless who will win the presidential elections; I will be available to provide good advices to help build democracy in my country.

I have a good dream for Haiti, but I am waiting on the Lord to intervene.

I encourage all of you to do your best so that this transition of power could be successful and beneficial for all of us. Congratulations!

God leads and bless Haiti.

A Glimmer Of Hope For Haiti!

by Jean H Charles on 1/13

Of all the candidates Dr Borgella has the best program of government.

I like very much his vision of making Haiti hospitable to all in particular to Rural Haiti.

May All Haitians adopt this candidate.

He will bring peace and democracy to Haiti

You Can Not Be Democratic If You Support Coup

by G. Simon on 11/28

Dr, Borgella may have good intention, but his hatred for Aristide has rendered him blind; therfore he chose to embrace the most negative elements of the Haitian society such as: Guy Philippe, Chamblain, Latortue, Apaid, Baker, morra.

I mean no offense.

I am simply telling the truth.

If Borgella is democratic, he must have the gut to handle the truth.

Tell me where I went wrong.

Thank you

Dr. Borgella has founded a new political party and has no affiliation with Guy Phillipe or his political party.

So exactly how is Dr. Borgella supporting Guy Phillipe?

Your logic is way off.

You Call A Stupid Like Borgella Friend?

by G. Simon on 11/27

Borgells supports coup d'etat and the current regime of thugs in Haiti: criminal/drug dealer like Guy Philippe, uncle Tom like Latortue, blood suckers/racist pigs like Baker, Apaid, Mourra & Co..

Man, if you need a friend, embrace Rene Preval or Titid.

by Julian on 11/22

I must say that after visiting his website and reading his plan of Government I've become convinced that there is finally hope for a decent president.

I like what I see and I've been watching him closely, it looks like he's going to win. He's the only diaspora candidate remaining in the race, lets vote for the man with the plan.

CORE Announces Endorsement of Dr. Joel Borgella For next President of Haiti

Roy Innis Supports Borgellas Plan to Enfranchise Haiti’s Rural Poor

Endorsement Ceremony/Press Conference: Location: CORE, 817 Broadway, 3 Fl.
1pm, November 21, 2005 New York, NY 10003 (near Union Square)

Roy Innis, National Chairman of The Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) is endorsing the OLAHH (Organization for the Advancement of Haiti and of Haitians) and Dr. Joel Borgella to lead the next Haitian government for the next five years.

Mr.

Innis is endorsing Borgella for president of Haiti because he is committed to building a country that is hospitable to all, the rich, the poor, the middle class and to Haitians in the Diaspora.

According to Mr. Innis, "it is time that the political leadership that came from the Haitian Diaspora create a culture that is hospitable to democracy, inclusive and open.
Haiti’s history of struggling for democracy and independence is remarkable.

Their struggle against the French in the 1800’s influenced movements for civil rights and human rights throughout the world, including Simon Bolivar in South America, American abolitionist and civil rights pioneers.

It is tragic that after 200 years of independence, the majority of its population, in particular rural Haiti, languishes trapped in a de-facto apartheid system.

The strength Dr. Borgella’s vision for Haiti is that it focuses on rebuilding the country’s infrastructure by making the rural poor viable participants in the county’s economy.

His vision is clear and decisive.

An affirmative action program for marginalized populations in the rural sectors and the small towns, the instituting of urban renewal programs for the 565 rural counties and 165 small towns, massive and reconstruction projects of the infrastructure for roads, electricity, communication, port and airports are all part of Borgella’s plan. According to Dr.Borgella, in a statement to Ms. Karen Hughes the Assistant Secretary of State for Public Policy, "a society cannot be peaceful and harmonious if three quarters of its members are shackled into the countryside or the slums with no running water, no schools, no roads, no electricity and no input from its government."

Roy Innis commends Dr. Joel Borgella for his commitment to nurturing a culture of service, where institutions such as the police, health and education provide services free of corruption, inefficiency and unaccountability.

The endorsement/press conference ceremony will be on Monday, November 21st at 1.00 pm at the CORE office located at 817 Broadway 3 Fl., NYC.

Re: Why Don't You Do It Without Being President

by garry Destin, replying to Congress Of Racial Equality on 05-Dec-05 10:27 PM

Mr Borgelat, with all your respect why didn't you do all these thing already.

Being a radio host doesn't mean you are fit for president.

This is a very fragile country we are talking about.

Aristid was a priest, was he fit for Haiti's hiest office?

Preval was president what did he do?

baby Doc spent decades as president and did nothing.

Since from papa doc Haiti has become a playground for clowns.

I don't mean you are one of the clowns but please before you put up your name as candidat, think.

We have been laughed enough.

there are many ways you guys can help specially you as a radio host.
think first and good luck.

Please get your facts straight before you comment on the Interent!

First of all Dr. Borgella is not a Radio Hosts, he is the founder of the FIRST HAITIAN RADIO STATION IN AMERICA !

He opened Radio Tropicale in 1989,

He then expanded and created a network of Radio Tropicale in Washington DC, Boston, Florida, Pennsylvania and Atlanta.

After that he put Radio Tropicale on Satellite and it was heard in Canada, Europe and the Bahamas.

He then opened up Radio Tropicale in Haiti and it covered the entire Islands.

In 1998 He opened up a hospital in his old neighborhood and named it after his mother, he actually practiced medicine and delivered babys there every week, and recently he put 1100 kids in Haiti through school with his Political Organization that he founded in 2003 named OLAHH.

He distributed food after hurricane Jane in Mapou and Fon Veret, he even distributed FOR the red cross because they could not get to some of the flooded areas.

Dr.

Borgella is a great man, it is people like you that make our country look bad, you comment without FACTS without RESEARCH your are too lazy to educate your self before you try to lecture your inaccurate information.

Thats what we need to change in our country.

Dr. Borgella is Board Certified and graduated from Medical School with honors, all he has ever done was help his country because he wanted to, not because he had to.

When he came to america he drove a yellow cab for 2 years in NY City while he tried to pass his english exam!!!!!

Get your facts right or at least go to his web site (www.olahh.org) then come back to Haiti Election 2005 and apologize for you false and disrespectful comments.

Dr. Borgella delivered both my daughters and he is a great man...

Hello I would like respond to your comment.

I you read what is posted, he is a radio host although he may not be only that but that is what is mostly said on his post.
I read what is written about the candidates.

OK, papa doc and many others were doctors and look at Haiti now. Aristid was a priest well respected and what did he do.
I am not saying that Dr. Borgella doesn't fit but i am saying Haiti needs great business minded leaders such as simeus, Charles and armand P.
For example, I sew for living my X boss is a very well known doctor who owns a canvas shop. He knows nothing about canvas and sewing therefore he couldn't understand or appreciate my work. I had to leave him and go work for a professional canvas maker.

Before you say criticize me, I gradiated from Fashion institute of Technology where I majored in pattern men and women's wear making and accessories designs.

Please I just want to him to know that Haiti needs great business leaders and if he is one, that will be a plus. if he doesn't become president, work with the new good government.

Haiti will needs big brains like that. (Role models)
