At less than 7 days to the Elections some major problems remain unresolved First: the problem of security, will people be so willing to vote as to risk their lives or be intimidated by armed thugs to vote in a way not consistant with their choice? Second : a logistical problem, with voting booths at miles away from their residence a large segment of the population will be unable to cast their ballot.T watch what's going on today in Haiti, one wonders: who is in charge of the election process? the only major player who is taking charge seems to be the United Nations/Minustah whose interest is to renew its mandate soon to inspire Feb, 15 so to that end they are anxious to get something, anything done they can call election to justify their presence in Haiti. The big looser will be the haitian elctorate.
