Baker is going to loose this election for many reasons: division amongst social classes, his lack of political leadership and charisma. Obviously being part of top 10% of the elite class in Haiti where literacy rate is only 52%, there is not much you can expect from the other 90% In a country like Haiti where they consider voting as a choice, not a right. Out of over eight million people living in this empoverished island, only 38 % believe that voting is a right. Education has a lots to do with that. Haitian elite is so widely divided amongst themselves and the largely lower middle class haitian population is not educated well enough to make an educative descision in order to pick the right person as their leader.. Baker has one the best opportunities of his lifetime to make it to the haitian White House; unfortunately, I don't see it happening for him.In addition, his soft spoken demeanor makes Baker more like Neil Clark Warren than George W. Bush. This is politics! This is about leading a country! I wish that I could turn back the clock and cast my vote for Baker. Baker needs to find himself a "super architect" to advise him how to win the haitian electorate. Are there any Carl Rove haitian out there? Where are those haitians that studied Political Sciences or related at Soborne, Yale, Havard, etc..? Statistics do not lie ! Haitian people will have Rene G.Preval for at least another five years as their president of the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. Most people know that these leftists cannot make a country progress in most areas."Nage pou nou soti". From Hugo Chavez in Venezuela to Rene Preval in Haiti and other leftists leaders around the glode, there have never had any progress made. I hope politicians in Haiti learn from this and make it better next time as they did to oust Jean Bertrand Aristide. Indivualism never win ! Get together guyz !!International communities will be laughting at us, haitians, once Preval get elected as the turmoil contunie, violence and kidnappings get to the extreme level. Moreover, Haiti will always be called "the poorest nation in the western hemisphere". How more insulting can this be?! Who really wants a replica of Jean Bertrand Aristide in power anyway in 2006? This time it will be "Nage pou nou neye".
