Simeus The Haitian Constitution and Duel Citizenship

My Dear Haitian brothers and sisters,

If you were terminally sick, and there is no Haitian doctor in Haiti who can help cure you, wouldn't you accept a foreign doctor to help you?

Friends, our Motherland, Haiti, is sick; Haitian sons and daughters are falling ill to Her sickness of mismanagement by previous and the current governments. Right now, Haiti needs people who are able to help Her get back on Her feet. This can be done is with the help of some of Her children who have lived in foreign lands for years. Many of these children of Hers, in one way or another have assumed other nationalities, for whatever reasons.

Many of Haitis Haitian children are the most successful in these foreign lands they have adopted. They are Haitians by birth and deep in Her peoples heart, they would like to do something constructive to bring their Motherland, Haiti Cherie, on Her feet. Mr. Simeus happens to be one of such Haitian children.

In his capacity, as in many of other Haitians capacities, living in foreign lands, Mr. Simeus has adopted the citizenship of the foreign land that he lives in for over 40 years. I am not sure what were Mr. Simeus reasons for becoming a US citizen. However, I am sure that all the Haitians in foreign lands have various valid reasons to become citizens of their adopted lands.

When it comes to the Haitian Constitution, as all other written Constitutions, the existence of such a Document serves as a guideline for future generations of Haitians. The document is not a fixed Document. It does not forbid modifications that would be to the benefit of Haitians. This Precious Document permits amendments or additions to its contents by only a small handful of its people in the highest Court of Haiti, The Cour de Cassation DHaiti, and Haitians Supreme Court.

There is an infinite difference between amending and violating the Haitian Constitution. For example:

jailing Haitians without a trial is violating the Haitian Constitution, whereby, The Haitian Supreme Court amending the Constitution on behalf of one Native Haitian for the benefit of all the People of Haiti is not a violation of the Haitian Constitution. Mr. Simeus is that Native Haitian.

However, as I think Mr. Simeus would want to help Haiti, as many of other Haitians who would like to help Haiti, Mr. Simeus went before the Cour de Cassation to plead his case. The highest Court of Haiti, the only body that is allowed to make the amendment in the Haitian Constitution, decided that Mr. Simeus can run for the Presidency of Haiti.

My Haitian Compatriots, where are the Haitian doctors of all fields, engineers of all fields, the lawyers, the architects, the nurses, the philosophers, the scientists of all fields, the manufacturers of all equipments, the construction workers, the technicians of all trades, the bankers, the accountants, the managers, the teachers, the professors, the analysts, the economists, the computer programmers, the computer technicians, the stock traders and all of the other Haitis professionals?

Where are they?

They are all in foreign lands.

Mr. LaTortue, Haiti is sick!

Haiti is broken!

Haiti needs help!

Having Mr. Simeus running as president of Haiti is just opening the flood gate for the rest of these of Haitian professionals who can hear their hearts pounding in anticipation to enter their Haiti, to pour freely in Haiti to help their Motherland, Haiti, along with the remaining professionals in Haiti, under the protections of the Haitian Constitution. Many will do it for the money and get rich in the process, which is fine as long as they obey the laws of the land.

My Dear Compatriots, who may misunderstand the concept of why Duel Citizenship is important to Haiti, consider 8.5 millions people in Haiti and an estimated 1,000,000 professionals in foreign lands ready to come home and rebuild Haiti with their skills teaching their trades to the 8.5 million poor (I am sure that many will try to get rich in the process, which is fine as long as they obey the laws of the land); Consider Israel and that countrys duel citizenship; imagine the prosperity that Haiti and Her children would benefit from.

We know Haitians of every walk of life in Haiti, given sincere opportunities; will grab such opportunities with appetite to become successful.
