Dear Pierre, and all my Haitian brothers and sisters, During World War II, the United States found itself in a situation where it had to modify its constitution in order for the second term reigning president, Franklin D. Roosevelt, to hold the presidency of the United States for a third term. http://campus.pc.edu/students/tslone03/franklin_d__roosevelt.htm Because of that giant step taken, Americans of all political parties united behind their third term president to keep the country afloat to fight war and went on to help the allies defeat the Nazis of Germany. Today, Haitians have found themselves in a situation that needs the Haitian Constitution to be modified. Just like the US Constitution was modified by the Supreme Court of the US to favor the US citizens, Haiti's Highest Court had twice decided that Dumarsais Simeus, for whatever reason, can run for president of Haiti. We all know of the Haitian Constitution's legalities on foreign nationality to be president of Haiti. We also know that the Haitian Constitution have been violated many times since 2004. We should all abide by Our Constitution in hope for the betterment of our Haiti. Then, when things begin to quiet down, we can start to access our loses to make additional changes to our constitution which will benefit us, our children, our grandchildren, their children and their great, great grand children and beyond. As I am not eligible to either vote in the US elections, as I have not renounced my Haitian citizenship, I am unable to vote in any Haitian election because my Haitian constitution forbids it. I am not happy with it; however, I must abide to it. As a concern Haitian, I am hoping that Mr. Simeus will run for president in the hope that if he wins, although he is not a politician, he will be able to lift Haiti off his buttocks, from the $hit it is in, to great magnificent. If he is not elected, I am hoping that the next president of Haiti will use Simeus' experiences to help guide Haiti to the same grandiosity as if he were president. Haiti cannot wait anymore. You, my Haitians brothers and sisters in Haiti of economical influences should understand that the poor masses of our Haitian brothers and sisters of Haiti are your best consumers. The more these poor brothers and sisters of ours come out of poverty, the more your profit will be. 8.5 million Customers in Haiti, about 2 millions more in the Diaspora. The elite of Haiti can use Mr. William (Bill) Gates as an example: the more people he educates with his Microsoft products, the richer that he gets. So, instead of keeping all the wealth to yourselves, help someone else get rich so that you can get richer. I believe someone like Mr. Simeus will help guide Haiti out of misery, as a president or not. Hopefully, someone will translate this in French and creole for me. Haiti te bel lap vin bel anko.
