I want to start by wishing a Happy New Year 2006 to everyone, and particularly to the people who have put this website together to give us a forum to vent our anger and to debate our political views and differences. Long live freedom of speech! Long live freedom of expression! Long live freedom of the press! Long live Haiti ! If you read all the candidates' platforms, you'll see that they all seem to share a common denominator: "Their love for the Haitian people" at least that's what they say, even Guy Philippe makes that claim. Then you ask yourself a simple question. How can you claim you love the Haitian people when you are in favor of a government composed only of the voice of the minority while the candidate that commands between 65% to 75% of the voice of the population is being excluded? Just think for a moment how the Bush administration is a demagogue. Bush claims he is fighting in Iraq so the voice of the majority (Shiites) could be heard; however, in Haiti Bush has supressed the voice of the majority. Remember Bush's agenda is not in the interest of the Haitian people. Therefore, those clowns in the current circus in Haiti who are pushing the Bush agenda are setting themselves up for more disaster. I wish and envision for Haiti a peaceful solution and the respect of the majority and the minority as well, but if the rights of the majority are continued to be trampled, it will take another 1804 to set the record straight once again. If the majority is continued to be denied the basics, then starting from zero the majority has nothing to lose. The oppressed have to liberate themselves from the oppressors by any mean necessary. STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHT! DON'T GIVE UP THE FIGHT! Happy New Year 2006! G.Simon
