Haitian politics

It,s very sad to see such a small country with over 100 politcal parties.

Electing a president is not going to solve Haiti's problems from day one. Every haitian wants to be president, Haiti has more presidential candidates than voters. I'm 54 yrs old born in haiti and came to the USA at the age of 16, it's painful to see my country the Haiti I knew come to this bad situation.

One would thought Haitians had learn from the 32 yrs of Duvalier regime, but it does not get better. Not one of all these candidates including previous one has a plan for Haiti. A plan to unify the country

and to get us out of this mess. We in the Diaspora do not count in the political affair in Haiti. It's time for Haitians in Haiti to realize that they need the Diaspora not for financial support only, but in the reconstruction of a new Haiti for all Haitians.

I urge all Haitians regadless of their political affiliation to think and reach deep into their soul this crisis in Haiti must end soon. We the Haitians must solve our own problems. We must stop waiting for foreigner to come and solve Haiti's 200+ yrs old trouble. We must move forward and embrace democracy step by step. When there is new government the Haitian people expect things to change instantaneously, we have to be patient if we want democracy to work.
