ajane, you seem to be quite obsessed with mister aristid. your choice of words suggests a somewhat pathological antagonism and irrational hatred. you are on the extremist side just as

some blind worshipers of the man. you are no more correct about aristid than are his most ardent supporters.

you are arguing on rumors and ad hominem cliches.

as to anonymous'rejection of the journalists' description, it is ridiculous. the idea of conservatives makes sense it the united states, but is nonsensical in haiti. what is it that we are conserving?

it is very strange to see some people calling themselves conservatives in a country with virtually no socio-political institutions worth conserving.

the morally corrupted and repugnant dominant group is a just description. our dominant group is the only one without a legacy in the americas, no schools, no institutions are built in their names. no great writers, no contributing scientists, no philantropic socialites comes from that domainant and financially stable group. in fact, they are as willing to carry their " bol ble" to the international community as evidenced by the grant recently received by reginald boulos and the haitian chamber of commerce for the setting -up of an internal conflict project aimed at finding resolutions in transactions disputes.

one can go to other countries, and find many harvard-graduates within their dominant groups, but not in haiti. the richer they are in haiti, the dumber and more intellectually brankrupt they get. the case of haiti is an anomaly. nowhere in the americas will you find an economic group that is so intellectually bankrupt and would so audaciously express such a disdain for the promotion of culture. having access and money, they should have been our first generation of chemists, physicists, and researchers, the bringers of technology, but the ti ceci and ti cela do nothing more than playing an electronic organ.

we need to start developping elites in human endeavors because honestly we do not yet have any!
