Statistics 101 For G Simon

Home > Haiti Elections Archives 2005 Forum > Rene Preval > Statistics 101 for G Simon

G Simon, the polls gave Preval about 37% before the elections, then when ballot counting started Preval began at about 61% with only 15% of the ballots counted; note that Preval strongholds like Cite-Soleil were counted at first then as you start counting the rest where Preval is not as stong it is prefectly natural that his percentage starts dropping when you keep in mind that he had a 37% poll rating.

Unfortunately you are so fanatical that you have to blame his percentage drop on people you don't like.

Ask any mathematician in case you did not take statistics in college that it is perfectly normal for him to drop as more ballots are counted; instead of whining you should be happy that he has 50% right now.
