You make some sound arguments and provide practical, albeit inconclusive recommendations. Most signficant in your suggestions is that we say we want to "honor the constitution"--on that was signed under duress--and yet violate it by turning the CEP from permanent to provisional and by taking too much time to organize the elections. If we have to be selective about what parts of the constitution to respect and for whose self-interest then the whole constitution should be turned back to the people of Haiti.
