I totally agree with you, but there is one thing I don't get about your plea. Why have you not been to Haiti? You sound like you are older than 15... Why is it your parents never took you to Haiti? My son is only 6 years old and I went to Haiti with him the Christmas before the fall of Aristide's second term.He has been telling me how much he loves Haiti even though there were virtually no electricity,running water, or indoor plumbing while we were there. It was very shocking to see how he loved and understood Haiti.We have not been back probably for the same reason that your parents never took you there. I can assure you as soon as things have settled down we will be on our way... I hope you will seize the opportunity to learn about your roots while visiting!
