Whether you like it or not Aristide remains close to a divine figure among more than 90% of the Haitians who voted Preval back in office to lead Haiti as their president.
Preval was elected under the formula that was developed secretly and silently in the Lavalas movement: Lavalas = Lespwa; Lespwa = Lavalas.
You can't lose with this potent formula.
in case you didn't know, I give you the secret.
The question remains, should Aristide go back to Haiti?
My answer is Aristide is Haitian, he has the right to go back to Haiti whenever he so chooses.
The decision is 100% Aristide's. No Bush, No France, No Canada.
No U.N. have the damn right to dictate a great man like Aristide when to go back to his beloved Haiti Cherie.
Aristide has definitely joined the rank of Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Mandela.
Aristide has opened the eyes of the mass that was neglected for more than 200 years.
The mass is finally shaping up the future of Haiti.
The Haitians have defeated all plotters and skeptics.
If Aristide goes back to Haiti, nothing will happen to him. But If anyone dares inflicting harm to Aristide, Haiti will go in smoke entirely.
Everyone will lose. There is a saying in creole that goes "Pa manyen Titid la, si ou manyen Titid la wa boule tande".
My personal opinion is President Aristide should wait another 2 or 3 years before he goes back back to Haiti; and President Preval should go to South Africa to visist Titid soon. Preval should continue to promote Peace and reconciliation among all Haitians, mulattos or dark skins, businesspeople and underpriviledged.
Peace and reconciliation
