"On a Positive Note" (Part 8 of 50)
A Stable Haiti will Benefit Everyone.
Don't let them divide you. Don't give them that satisfaction.
Preval has been elected President of Haiti and it is a consensus among all Haitians at this point.
Anonymous said something very important -that there has been an uneasy calm since Preval has been elected.
I would say that the calm can be prolonged if it's not disturbed.
Yes, the calm can be disturbeb with an immediate return of Aristide, Cedras, and Jean-Claude Duvalier.
They are all Haitians, and they have the right to return to their country whenever they please; however, to maintain the fragile calm and peace that have been evident since Preval has been elected president of Haiti, some consideration should be made before a rush and precipitated return to Haiti by certain political figures.
Frankly, the person that all Haitians should worry about is the current acting U.S. Ambassador in Haiti, Thimoty Carney.
History and several published articles and documentaries show that the U.S. Ambassadors in Haiti are very often the main destabilizers of the Haitian siciety.
Can't you see how the Bush administration is destrotying Iraq when the whole world opposed the aggression against Iraq. Now Iraq is experiencing a civil war. Who are suffering?
the Iraqi people, of course.
The Sunnis used to lived peacefully with the Shiites.
Now, they are killing one another.
I can guarantee you if the U.S. Ambassador in Haiti, Thimothy Carney, was in charge of bringing a solution to the voting crisis in Haiti instead of Brazil, we would have had a civil war in Haiti by now.
Again, be careful!
Don't let them divide you. You, Haitans, are proud people.
Rich or poor, dark skins or mulattos.
Please find a Haitian solution to your Haitian problems.
We will continue to deal with the international community.
We need them too.
