"On a Positive Note" (Part 3 of 50)
Let's do a psychological analysis at what makes us, Haitians, act the way we do - you see, I truly believe that most of the presidential candidates who had just participated in the presidential race really believed that they have the solution to make Haiti a better place.
What is often missing is the BIG PICTURE.
What is the BIG PICTURE?
the BIG PICTURE is Haiti as a country.
Haiti should no be divided as if it was a pizza being cut into several slices.
Imagine all the presidential canditates playing a role either in the new elected government or in the private sector while bringing the same dedecation, fervor, and enthusiasm that they showed during the presidential campaign.
There have always been and there will always be classes, elite, social status, rich and poor; however, in Haiti something has to be done in order to relieve the underprivileged of their social burden, which seems to have plunged them into a caste status.
A good society must equiped its citizen with the mean for the possibility of upward mobility The elite alone should not be made a scapegoat.
The past Haitian goverments and other institutions have failed the Haitian society miserably despite some good intention.
Foreigners have also contributed to the decadence of Haiti.
Once Haitians start to realize that they are living in an interdependent world, an interdependent country, they will understand the need to respect one another.
A perfect example, the same people that one might call Chimere or Ratpakaka are the same people that you would need to wash your car on shine your shoes.
